When setting up your e-mail address within your own e-mail client, you will need to use the following settings:
| Incoming server (POP3): |
pop3.strato.com |
Incoming server (IMAP):
|
imap.strato.com |
| Outgoing server (SMTP): |
smtp.strato.com |
Please note: When setting your e-mail address upon a mobile device, you may be asked for the port numbers. These are as follows:
| protocol |
port |
POP3
|
110 |
| POP3 (SSL/TLS) |
995 |
|
|
IMAP
|
143 |
| IMAP (SSL/TLS) |
993 |
|
|
| SMTP |
25 (alternatively 587) |
| SMTP (SSL/TLS) |
465 |

If you should be having problems connecting to the SMTP server using port 25 (the standard SMTP port), this could be due to the fact that your internet provider has blocked this port. You can change this to the alternative SMTP port 587.
As with
ALL e-mail addresses which are setup within your own e-mail client (regardless computer, laptop, notebook, or mobile device), you will need to activate the “My outgoing server requires authentication” within your settings or your e-mail client. You will then need to tick, “Use same settings as incoming server”.
