| Incoming Mail Server (IMAP): |
imap.strato.com |
| Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): |

Please use SMTP Authentification method. You can find more information for some email programs below. Please also use the resources provided by the software developers of your email client.
If you experience difficulties retrieving emails on port 25, STRATO offers the alternative retrieval port 587 (as stated in RFC 2476), to avoid any issues.
This means, that you must change the port settings for SMTP from 25 to 587 in your email program, to be able to send your emails. Some Internet service providers run checks on the standard port 25, which can cause problems trying to retrieve emails.

Important information regarding older email programs
Some older email programs, such as Netscape Messenger, accept no @ character. In this case use the format: "mailboxname%YourDomain.co.uk"
In some programs you cannot enter the POP server directly (i.e. Eudora), the server must be added to the email address. In this case use the format:
mailboxname%YourDomain.co.uk@pop3.strato.com
Replace mailboxname and YourDomain.co.uk with the corresponding data.
