With e-mail filter rules you can sort incoming e-mails automatically.
In order to create a new rule, please proceed as follows:
Click "Options" -> "Messages" in the menu bar on the left and then click "E-Mai Filter" in the window on the right.
You have now entered the overview of your e-mail filters. Click "New E-Mail Filter". The window that now opens lets you define the settings for your rule.

Title for Rule: Please enter the designation for your rule here. By assigning a title, you can organise your e-mail logically.
From the drop-down menu, select the message type to which you want to apply the rule and define the desired time period.
Filter Criteria: Specify the conditions which must be met for the e-mail to be sorted automatically. You may define up to three conditions for each e-mail filter. You may also use the "*" as a wildcard in your search terms.
Example:
"sp*" would trigger the rule for all character strings beginning with S and P. "*sp*" would trigger the rule for all character strings containing sp.
Remark:
The filter will only become effective if a new e-mail meets the criteria.
Additional conditions: Here define, amongst other things, the size and priority of the incoming message.
Actions: Here you specify the action to be taken if all conditions of the rule are met. If you have created personal folders for your e-mails already, you now have the option to either move e-mails into one of these folders, to reject them, or to delete them directly and irrevocably.
Select the desired action by checking the corresponding option.
Finally, save your settings to activate the rule.
