How do I transfer my domain from STRATO to another provider and how do I cancel my domain(s)?




If you want to transfer a domain registered in your name from STRATO to another provider, or wish to cancel your domain, please remember the following points. There are several ways of informing us about the impending domain transfer or domain cancellation:

)  Domains cannot be deleted over the phone, only via the authenticated chat / e-mail or fax / postal mail.

)Companies can only cancel domains via fax or by mail.

Note:
Please remember that newly registered international domains (.com,.net,. org,. info,. biz,. mobi,.asia,. cc and .tv) can only be transferred 60 days after their registration from one provider to another. This is based on an ICANN policy all providers have to comply to.

 



Telephone
You can release your domain(s) for an impending domain transfer via telephone, after a data verification according to our privacy policy.
Please contact our friendly customer support, who can assist you in this matter and start your domain transfer as fast as possible.

 

If you wish to delete your domain with the corresponding registrar, please send us written instructions with the exact date and domain name you wish to delete.

We do not process domain deletions on the phone for your own safety.

Authenticated Chat
You can conveniently release your domain for the domain transfer via our service chat. To make sure only the contract partner/ domain owner can cancel the domain, this is only possible in our authenticated chat.

 

Log into your customer service area and select your package.
Click on Help and Contact > access ServiceChat

You can then tell us which domain name you wish to delete / transfer, and when we should execute this.


 


Authenticated e-mail
Can you also inform us via e-mail about the impending domain transfer. To make sure only the contract partner/ domain owner can cancel the domain, this is only possible with an authenticated e-mail.

We can process your request faster if you tell us which domain you wish to delete/transfer, and when you want this to be executed.
