To incorporate images in your web page, go to the first step 4. Content. Now click on the Settings sidebar and under Layout select a layout that includes a space for one or more pictures.

 

 

Now left-click in the page with the mouse on the frame that states "No image or video selected". In the sidebar a new menu will be shown stating "Choose Image/Choose Video".

 

Selecting one of these choices will take you directly to the LivePages MediaPool. You now have two choices, you can either select a picture located on your hard drive and upload it to the MediaPool by clicking on "Add New Image", or you can choose pictures from the Fotolia images Archive.

When the desired image has been selected and inserted, you will notice that the sidebar to the left has several editing options available such as align, scale, rotate, flip etc. These options are only applied to the specific photo and can be reversed at any point. The image replacement text will only be displayed if a visitor to your home page cannot see the image in their browser.

 

Uploading your own images

 

Firstly click in the frame in which you would like to have one of your own images. In the sidebar a new menu will be shown under the tab “Contents” stating “Choose Image/Choose Video”. By clicking on one of these selections you will be taken to the Live Pages Mediapool.

 

To upload an image located on your computer simply click on “Add New Images”, a new window will open enabling you to “Browse” your computer for the particular image you desire. Once located click on “Upload Images” and the image will be uploaded to your “My Images” folder under the mediapool.

 

You can now click on the recently uploaded image in the mediapool and then click ok at which point you will be returned to your Livepages project and the image will be shown in the selected frame.

 

You now, of course, have the option to alter the properties of the image and add a title and description as described above.
