You can easily protect your STRATO LivePages website in a matter of seconds with a password. Via step 4. Contents, in your sidebar under the tab Settings simply click on the menu point Add password protection.

 

Two different types of password protection is offered in LivePages. One is to protect your entire website with a password while the other is to protect selected individual pages.

 

Tick in the box at the top left Protect Whole Website if you would like to have all the pages, including images, password protected. When you nest browse your website it will ask for a username and password before allowing you entrance to the site.

 

You can then set-up some user names and passwords to be permitted to your website. Simply enter a user name and then a password, repeat this password to make sure it has been typed correctly and then click on Create New User.

 

You will now see that the user you just created is in the User Set Up box. If you highlight any name in the User Set Up box and click on the middle icon "Add", this name will then be placed in the Authorised User box. Repeat this process for each user you would like to grant access to your website. If you would like to remove an authorised user, simply highlight the desired user in the Authorised User box and click on the middle icon "Remove".

 

The second possibility is to password protect individual pages within your website. This is useful if you would like to allow access to your website to all users but have only specific pages protected such as Family photos.

 

Choose, from the drop-down menu, which particular page/s you would like to password protect. Then, as in the method used to password protect your entire website create and select users to add to the Authorised User box. You can always check which users are permitted to which pages by navigating to the particular page via the drop-down menu in the Password Protection set-up window. The Authorised User box will display the current permitted users for the selected page.
